Amy Kant is a web and graphic designer based in Milwaukee, Wis. She works full-time as a web communications specialist, while freelancing on the side. She has worked in mass media field for nearly eight years before moving to the public sector.

Amy graduated with honors from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May 2006, with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. It was at UWM where she first took an interest in online media. Amy loves learning about online media, social networks and web standards.

Amy does freelance web and graphic design for a variety of clients both in the Milwaukee area and across the world. She specializes in creating unique, easy-to-use WordPress-based Web sites for small businesses, artists, photographers and crafters. Amy also sells her vintage-inspired jewelry and paper craft designs on Etsy and at local craft fairs. Additionally, Amy is an Independent Consultant for Jamberry Nails.

She is the Membership Development Adviser for the Beta Epsilon chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at Carroll University and is active in the Beta Epsilon Alumnae Chapter.

In her free time, Amy enjoys running and yoga. She is currently training for her fifth half marathon (and first marathon) and is on a quest to lose 100 pounds. Amy loves spending time with her family and the fur-kid, Beep.

Amy also enjoys playing board games, traveling, reading celebrity gossip, drinking tea, painting and not taking life too seriously.
